A Historic and Modern Conference Hub for Excellence
The Langenbeck Virchow Haus is the headquarters of the German Society of Surgery (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Chirurgie e. V.), the surgical scientific societies and the Professional Association of German Surgeons (Berufsverband der Deutschen Chirurgen e.V.).
The Berlin Medical Society and the German Society of Surgery built the Langenbeck-Virchow House in 1913 with the aim of “promoting scientific endeavours in the entire field of medicine, maintaining a collegial relationship among its members and safeguarding the interests of the medical profession” as well as “uniting the surgical workforce in the ever-growing scope of science, facilitating the exchange of ideas through personal contact and promoting joint work”.
Together with 20 specialist societies, the Aesculap Academy, which is active in the field of advanced training, and other partners from the medical world, the Langenbeck-Virchow House, which was reopened in 2005, serves a conference hall now.
Langenbeck-Virchow-Haus serves as a state-of-the-art conference center. It features a historic auditorium with 500 seats, seminar rooms, catering services, and exhibition spaces. In collaboration with the Aesculap Academy, also located within the building, additional seminar rooms are available. We look forward to welcoming you to our esteemed congress center.
